Designed by boutique owner Penny Callaghan, From My Mother’s Garden produces beautiful botanical-print garments and accessories in sustainable fabrics. Feminine and timeless, kimono jackets and long robes crafted in silky viscose and velvet are at the heart of the collection while a growing line of womenswear and fashion accessories is also available for stockists.
The brand’s founder has used her 17 years’ experience as an indie to create a commercial range that’s perfect for boutiques: “Customers want clothes that bring joy and our colourful prints certainly achieve that,” she says. “They are also becoming more conscious of fabrics and so we create sustainable and ethical products where possible. Plus, when we were all locked down, many of us appreciated the little things. I enjoy my time with my mother in her pretty garden and so this became my inspiration.”
Joining the brand’s signature kimonos and robes for SS22 is a range of dresses, lightweight tops, linen tunics and palazzo trousers, mesh skirts and lightweight raincoats. Meanwhile, it also offers scarves, cosmetics bags, cuffs, collars and hand fans in the same vibrant prints. Finally, this spring will see the introduction of a line of pretty bomber jackets. Available on short and forward order, wholesale prices are around £30 per piece in average while the minimum order requirement is £300.
