Women 1st, the initiative that works to bolster the number of women in senior positions in the retail industry, has announced Jacqueline Gold, chief executive of Ann Summers and Knickerbox, will be one of the key speakers at the conference this July.
An ‘in conversation’ session, hosted by women’s empowerment guru and Women 1st patron, Lynne Franks, will see Gold explore her career, experiences and thoughts on how both businesses and individuals can support women’s careers.
“Events like the Women 1st Conference are vital to help women develop their careers and encourage organisations to think about how they can support, and ultimately benefit from, their female talent,” said Gold.
Women 1st director, Simone Roche, added: “Highlighting the success stories of women who have made it to the top in their careers is so important to helping raise aspirations and remove barriers for other women in the workplace. Jacqueline is a brilliant role model for women in the retail industry and beyond, and we can’t wait to hear her insights at the conference.”
Gold’s talk joins a series of keynotes, panels discussions, and interactive workshops from a fantastic line-up of speakers including Chris Sullivan, deputy CEO of Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Group, editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post UK and global editorial director for Huffpost Lifestyle, Carla Buzasi, fashion commentator, Caryn Franklin, CEO of Pearl and Dean, Kathryn Jacob, and high-profile psychologist, Dr. Linda Papadopoulos.
The 2014 Women 1st Conference takes place at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square on 3rd July 2014.
