British brand Marble set for international growth with appointment of new CEO and designer

British womenswear brand Marble is set to undergo some significant developments this year, which include the appointment of a new CEO and designer.

First launched in 2008, the Glasgow-based label is the brainchild of co-owners Lynne Paul and Nick Williams, who have more than 60 years’ collective experience in fashion wholesale and retail. Last year the pair were in talks to sell the brand to private equity firm, but ultimately decided it wasn’t the right decision for the business. Today with their sights still firmly set on international growth, they are now expanding their team so they can both concentrate on growing the label across international markets.

Marble is already a successful global brand and exports its collections to 12 countries. Its founders hope the new strategy will allow it to increase its presence in these markets while enabling it to successfully enter new areas such as Holland, Italy and Australia.

“The pandemic has been difficult for a lot of reasons, but we are looking ahead to a really bright future for Marble with myself and Lynne at the helm,” says Nick. “We’ve taken on a new designer for the AW22 season onwards, who is assisting Lynne with new ideas which are in keeping with the Marble aesthetic our customers know and love. We’re also about to take on our first ever CEO who has incredible knowledge and experience so we can focus on driving international growth. It’s a really exciting time for the business and we hope our customers are just thrilled about the new developments as we are.”
