Hundreds of buyers flocked to INDX Womenswear and Footwear in Solihull last week despite travel disruptions caused by the national rail strike. The two-day event, which took place at Cranmore Park from 27-28 July, offered an inspiring line-up of exhibitors from debut brands to returning favourites.
Attendees were able to browse an inspiring mix of short order and forward order collections across categories including casualwear, lifestyle, formalwear, footwear and outerwear. This season’s show also featured an expanded line-up of sustainable and ethical brands.
Key exhibitors this season included Sandwich, Sahara, Weird Fish, Geox, Lily & Me, b.young, Lizabella and Mistral.
Fay Derricott, INDX brand selector and AIS senior womenswear buyer, says feedback from buyers and exhibitors was very positive: “Our focus is to bring together an inclusive selection of brands and to broaden the options for our visiting buyers, so as well as presenting big brands we are also hosting a selection of debuts.
“New brands this year included Dorset-based My Mother’s Garden, European urban lifestyle brand Redraft, SugarLane and the Wortmann footwear powerhouse, which presented s.Oliver, Jana, Marco Tozzi, and Tamaris and Caprice.
“We pride ourselves on maintaining our order-writing status and we are delighted that brands continue to recognise the show as a great business opportunity.”
INDX is owned by leading UK buying group Associated Independent Stores which successfully delivers 20 shows per year across fashion and home sectors from Cranmore Park Conference and Exhibition centre.
Upcoming fashion dates include INDX Accessories (25-27 September) and INDX Sports and Leisure (7-8 December). For 2023, confirmed dates include INDX Kidswear (29-30 January), INDX Womenswear and Footwear (1-2 February), INDX Menswear and Footwear (5-7 February) and INDX Intimate Apparel (12-14 February).
