The team at Indie boutique, Boudoir Femme, are set to welcome the Tour de France to their home town of Cambridge by cycling 100 miles on a special turbo trainer outside their store on 5th July.

The event called the Cycle Challenge 100 will raise money for the Cambridge-based charity Tom’s Trust, which helps to care for children with brain tumours. The distance cycled on the turbo trainer sponsored by Primo Cycles is the equivalent to the distance of the third stage of the Tour de France that leaves from the city on the 7th July.

Customers will receive double loyalty points on all purchases on the day, as well as have the chance to win £75 to spend in store courtesy of local business, Hardy’s Sweets, There will also be entertainment and refreshments to enjoy as the event coincides with the store’s eighth birthday and the start of the city’s Independent’s month.

Boutique owner, Pippa Sandison, said: “We are really excited about this event and wanted to celebrate the Tour coming to the city. I also know someone who has a young, close family member who is battling with a brain tumour, so we are delighted to show support by raising money for local charity, Tom’s Trust.”
