The founder of British footwear brand Cocorose London has been shortlisted for three major business awards across two national competitions.
Janan Leo has been named a finalist in the SME National Business Awards for Business Woman of the Year and Most Inspiring Businesswoman in the Best Businesswomen Awards. Her brand has also reached the final stages of the competition in the Best Product category.
Cocorose London launched in 2007 after bringing the world’s first foldable shoe to the market. Over the past 16 years its range has expanded from handbag-friendly ballet flats to foot-friendly trainers, leather loafers, sandals and boots.
The brand has also introduced a range of sustainable initiatives over the years – from a recycling scheme for its pre-loved footwear to a plant-a-tree initiative linked to purchases. Exciting developments are also in the pipeline for the last quarter of 2023.
“We are so delighted to have the recognition that these awards are offering, which is a massive boost for a dedicated family business like Cocorose London,” says Janan Leo. “We have always focused on the needs of our Cocorosers – our loyal and passionate customers who have helped make our brand successful and much-loved. If we are able to win an award, it will be thanks to their continuous belief in what we do and how we do it.”
The Best Businesswomen Awards 2023 ceremony will be held in London on 22 September while the SME National Business Awards 2023 take place in Wembley on 1 December.
