Award-winning north-east e-Commerce specialist, Visualsoft, is preparing to create 50 new jobs over the next 12 months and treble its turnover by 2017 following a management buyout.

The full-service agency, which designs, builds, hosts and markets online stores for hundreds of indies and multi-chain retailers, has been bought out in a deal led by founding director, Dean Benson, following a record-breaking year that saw the company achieve a multi-million pound turnover.

Having recently opened a new Australian base, Visualsoft aims to stay ahead of the market by investing further in research and development, producing new and exciting digital innovations to benefit its clients.

It is also now looking to add to its existing e-Commerce partnerships with online retail heavyweights such as Google, Paypal, Amazon, eBay and Sage.

Headquartered in Stockton with offices in Newcastle and London, the company will employ a new structure following the buyout, with new managing director, Mr. Benson, joined on the board by business development director, Tim Johnson, technical director, Matt Burton, and online marketing director, David Duke.

Benson commented: “We have grown in tandem with the e-Commerce sector, capitalising on the surge in online retailing that has largely escaped the recession.”

He added: “I’m thrilled to be taking Visualsoft forward with a new management team and outstanding staff to drive the business forward, helping to define the industry and pushing the boundaries of e-Commerce through ideas, creativity and innovations. We are determined to remain the very best in the industry.”
