FAB to offer inspirational advice to indies at Moda

Aspiring boutique owners will hear expert advice on opening a shop at this weekend’s Moda. The Fashion Association of Britain (FAB), a specialist division of the British Independent Retailers Association (bira), will be running a specialist workshop at the Birmingham event at 2pm this Sunday.

FAB works to support, inform and inspire independent fashion retailers, providing a wealth of business benefits, from free legal advice to preferential card rates, business banking to specialist insurance, tax accountants to music.

The workshop, which will be hosted by national membership manager Julie Holden, will also be followed by a session on how membership to the association can benefit your business at 3pm. There will also be an interactive panel discussion at 11.45 chaired by FAB offering tips, techniques and best practice for today’s indies, looking at the growing importance of social and digital media. Retailers will be able to speak to the FAB team throughout the show on stand H59.

Julie Holden comments: “We are really excited to be returning to Moda this year, to share our knowledge and expertise and to speak to as many members, retailers and soon-to-be retailers as we can. Being an independent retailer can be a lonely business, however we make sure that retailers have someone to talk to and have the opportunity to share their own experiences with other retailers.”

Moda will see sought-after collections from womenswear, menswear, footwear and accessory brands come together over three days alongside inspiring retail content, exciting catwalk shows and social events.
