Former Liberty boss Ed Burstell to headline Pure London’s content programme this summer

The Pure London stage

Pure London is set to return to Olympia this summer and visitors will be able to hear retail leadership insight from not one but two industry legends.

Former Liberty boss Ed Burstell and Kara MD Alan O’Neill will headline the show’s “editorially led content programme,” which will be delivered live at the event and across its digital channels.

Under its new ‘Empowering Change’ theme, show organisers promise the line-up will be full of insight, newness and trends to help retailers see change in its most positive form.

Burstell will take to the stage to discuss fashion expansion, growth and bounce back drawing on his near-decade experience at Liberty, which saw double-digit year-on-year growth driven by a renewed focus on young British designers.

Meanwhile, O’Neill will share his experience supporting iconic brands such as Selfridges, Fenwick, Primark, Ann Summers and Harrods in growing their physical store sales. He says: “This is an exciting time for the live fashion events industry – there is an upbeat mood around returning to the live events and I look forward to speaking to UK fashion retail at Pure London about changes in the retail sector and customer behaviour.”

Roseanna King, senior content producer for show organiser Hyve Group plc, comments: “In spite of rising costs, delivery challenges and fallout from the unstable environment, retailers have the appetite to rebuild back a better business. Covid has stress tested the operations of business, and retailers are now embracing new things as they seek to be enlightened – from new tech and streamline processes to new buying options. There is so much to discuss and Pure London aims to deliver so many insightful conversations as it tackles all of the above.”

Visitors will also discover a new floorplan edit with five destinations: Womenswear, Footwear, Accessories, Pure Jewel and Pure Origin. Meanwhile, Design Lab will showcase the newest and most innovative collections across its various sectors.

Key exhibitors signed up for the show include One Hundred Stars, Brodie Cashmere, Onjenu, Lily and Me, My Doris, Meraki Beach, Bl^nk, Jayley, Alpe, Sonatachic, Joko Edu, ArtLove, Vilagallo, Envy Jewellery, ShanShan, Tale The Label, Italian Closet and Asiana.

Pure London will take place at Olympia this 17-19 July; for more information click here.
