Love Brands has been appointed as the UK distributor for German womenswear and menswear label s.Oliver. First established in 1969, the brand has evolved into one of Europe’s largest and most profitable fashion houses – with an annual turnover of 1.67 billion Euros in 2016.
The collection will join the UK distributor’s portfolio of 16 additional international labels, offered through a ‘vertical wholesale model’ producing 12 drops each year. UK indies will be able to buy into the brand’s two most distinguished lines: s.Oliver and s.Oliver Black Label, which cover entry price through to mid-premium.
Love Brands says the monthly deliveries will “enable retailers to respond quickly to seasonal changes while enjoying strong sell-through associated with transitional styles and fresh stock.” Co-founder Michael Shalders comments: “I think the retailer in the UK is keen to discover ways to work in a more efficient and therefore profitable way. From assessing the market, we know this model works very well for other retailers. The support and processes, besides the quality and price-performance ratio are exceptional.”
