It’s good to talk! Top Drawer announces stellar speaker line-up

Top Drawer has announced an engaging line-up of retail experts for the forthcoming Academy Live talks taking place at Olympia London from 15-17 January. Speakers span the breadth of the retail landscape, heralding from the likes of John Lewis, Liberty, M&S, Notonthehighstreet, the Design Museum and the V&A.

The Academy Live programme will offer practical advice and tackle future-thinking topics looking at the changing retail landscape in 2017.

Kicking off the proceedings on Sunday, Leanne Manfredi, programme manager of the V&A: Participation and Co-design, will be speaking on The Uses of Design in the 21st Century Museum, focussing on the resurgence of British craft and the wider social impact of design.

On Monday, Emma Slate, food and drink content editor for M&S, will deliver keynote presentation: Trend to table – What you’ll be eating in 2017 and why you should care. During the talk she will share industry insight to reveal the biggest and most surprising trends we can expect to see in food in 2017.

Rounding off the show on Tuesday, Lucy Lines, head of visual merchandising for John Lewis, will share her expertise in visual marketing – from how to create fantastic window displays to being on-trend in 2017. She will be in conversation with Neil McLennan, former Deputy Editor of Living Etc, and the pair will be discussing The Role of Visual Merchandising in Brand Presentation.
