Print-led lifestyle brand Lily and Me offers beautiful and practical clothing with an emphasis on femininity. It is a family-owned British business based in Gloucestershire and prides itself on offering quality garments with attention to detail.
The label’s design team creates all of its unique prints in-house inside its Gloucestershire studio. Its tagline ‘British by Design, Beautiful by Nature’ drives its inspiration each season, with nature and the surrounding countryside influencing every print and piece. From concept of fabric, print design, shape and style through to its swing tags, marketing and customer service, its team is passionate about every aspect of its production.
Lily and Me’s fabrics are primarily sourced from China while it manufactures the majority of its pieces in its own factory in Nepal where its co-founders have full control over working conditions and employment practice.
For SS22 its collection is full of hope and happiness, embracing nature and the beauty around us in its prints and colour pops. The season its designer drew inspiration for its print motifs from the beautiful walled gardens of the Cotswolds. Large blooms inspired the joyful timeless prints of its Delphinium and Marguerite jersey bases as well as its Peony Bloom linen. Meanwhile, colourful stripes and easy-wear ditsies sit alongside its classic larger scale florals and thoughtful block colour jersey, linen and woven – creating a timeless and well-rounded collection.
The range is split into two colour palettes: Herb Garden and Wild Garden, which arrive in two drops for early season and high summer. Transitional styles and fabrics make up the first drop – available from January – including stretch denim, corduroy, signature jersey prints, knits and outerwear. The second drop, delivered from mid-February, offers cool linen, jersey and woven fabrics alongside lighter knitwear. Also available from February, its holiday edit offers high summer zesty linen blends and jersey basics. Both drops provide colour continuity and outfitting options to take retailers through the entire season.
Cotton slubs and jersey offer easy everyday styling while its cotton voile and linen blends elevate the collection alongside a selection of seasonal knitwear. Its popular cotton viscose elastane creates a beautifully soft jersey with a lovely drape and just the right amount of stretch. This season the brand is also offering recycled polyester in its summer weight gilets and a cotton blend for its new shower proof jackets in two different lengths.
Standout pieces include the linen viscose blend belted Seren shift dress in its large-scale peony bloom print, the colour-block spring weight Meadow Jumper and the easy-wear Amy midi t-shirt dress in printed stripe cotton jersey.
Primarily a forward order brand, Lily and Me also carries stock in season and offers top-up orders throughout the year. The label also has a number of agents across the UK carrying both collections throughout the year.
Wholesale prices are around £17 per piece on average while the minimum order requirement is £1,000.
