Jeffrey Hutchison named Retail Design Influencer at design:retail portfolio awards

Jeffrey Hutchison, owner of US design firm Jeffrey Hutchison and Associates, has been named one of the Retail Design Influencers of the year at the distinguished design:retail Portfolio Awards.

The Retail Design Influencers award celebrates the creatives, directors, principals and founders who are reshaping retail through their passion and creativity.

Hutchison has recently worked with high profile retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue having started his career working on store design for Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren.

His firm has garnered much success for a signature style using local materials and artisans to craft topical designs that create a feeling of locality that reflects the store’s surroundings.

On his vision and how he works on store designs, Hutchison commented: “First and foremost, create a dynamic design that draws the customer to the store.
