Canadian womenswear label Joseph Ribkoff has appointed John Gunn as its new CEO. He has taken over from John Ferraro, who will remain at the brand in a more creative role as executive vice president, design and product development.
Gunn, who was formerly CEO and president of Bentley and has held several senior positions with brands including Esprit Americas, Mexx and Tommy Hilfiger, is set to “take the business to the next level.” He comments: “We will continue to emphasize Joseph Ribkoff’s ongoing commitment to developing the best ready-to-wear collections and provide the best service to our customers.”
Ferraro, meanwhile, adds: “Design and product development are the two things that excite me the most, and I think it’s a good time for me to lead the creative team and focus more on collections than on the operational side of things. I am proud of the changes the company is making and I am happy to be part of its future. I am convinced that Joseph Ribkoff’s best days are ahead of us and that, thanks to the talents in place, we will experience extraordinary growth over the next few years.”
