Last chance for inspirational Brits to enter Simon Jersey’s Team GB competition

British uniform supplier, Simon Jersey, is seeking stories of inspirational people to enter its competition for a money-can’t-buy-prize as part of its sponsorship of Team GB for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Anyone over 18 can nominate someone who inspires them to win a day at the ‘Kitting Out’ experience at Birmingham NEC this summer. There, the nominee and the person who writes the winning story will join an Olympic medallist as they go through the experience of receiving their kit before the Games.

They will get a rare chance to hear what it’s like to prepare for an Olympic Games before being fitted for a bespoke suit from Simon Jersey, as well as some of the Rio 2016 kit usually reserved for Team GB athletes.

But nominators need to be quick – the deadline for entries is Sunday 1 May 2016.

Kerrie Medlicott, marketing director for Simon Jersey, said: “Team GB athletes are set to make the whole nation proud this summer when they compete in Rio. However we also want to know the hidden stories of inspirational people all over the UK and give them a money-can’t-buy prize.

“They could be someone who never stops doing good deeds, an amazing leader, or someone that’s achieved a major sporting goal like our Team GB stars. We’ve had some fantastic entries already but are keen to make sure everyone has the chance to nominate their inspirational friends.”

People can nominate by writing, in 200 words or less, why the person they’ve chosen inspires them. Nominations should be sent to competitions@simonjersey.com before 23:59 on Sunday 1 May 2016.
