Its concept is the brainchild of award-winning beauty journalist Samantha Freedman and luxury retail specialist Margot Vitale. They have used their collective expertise to reimagine the buying process, with every aspect of the journey built for maximum efficiency and ease.
Hundreds of products from 80 brands are available to order directly from B2B marketplace Curate Beauty . These include everything from luxury fragrances and hair accessories to organic skincare.
Buyers can register for a free retailer account on the website, which will give access to full product information and ordering. Purchasing can take place as soon as the account is approved with flexible payment terms and free deliveries. Meanwhile, new retailers can order complimentary sample packs to try out products before they buy.
The platform is aiding retailers moving into e-commerce for the first time during the coronavirus crisis. Buyers can spread payments out over 90 days while it has also waived commission fees for a limited period.
B2B fashion marketplaces such as TradeGala are becoming increasingly important for retailers. Effectively removing the need to travel or visit trade shows, they allow buyers to browse multiple brands online and place orders directly. Marketplaces often offer in-season delivery, meaning retailers can order what they need as and when they need it. Plus, it’s easy to check live stock at a glance so buyers can see exactly what’s available with just a few clicks – minimising any concern surrounding supply chains.
