The next Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Ibiza will now take place in spring 2021. The fourth edition was set to take place at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel in September, but is now postponed until next year following the COVID-19 outbreak.
Since launching in 2017, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Ibiza has become an established international platform showcasing resort fashion. Today it is Spain’s second major fashion event after Fashion Week Madrid.
It joins a host of other fashion industry events that have been forced to cancel since February.
Its organisers thank participating designers, sponsors and collaborating brands for their willingness to participate in the 2021 show.
Mercedes-Benz Spain president Roland Schell says the event is a benchmark for fashion. “This year, due to the coronavirus emergency, we regret that we must postpone this year’s show. We hope that this situation will soon be behind us, so that we can go back to normal.
Event director Daniel Gómez Korf. says: “We’ll now start working on the 2021 show with even more enthusiasm.” Finally, director Nuria de Miguel adds: “In 2021, we will revive the spirit of this international fashion and musical extravaganza with the most exciting names from the fashion and music scenes”.
