Contemporary womenswear label Neue has unveiled its AW16 collection Camoufleurs at Scoop London this week.
The London label, aimed at the modern professional woman, blends original prints with contemporary, effortless shapes that are at once individual and wearable.
AW16 continues this theme with designer Alice Tibble basing the collection around the idea of floral camouflage. An original vintage jacquard has been manipulated to create an abstract, camouflage-like texture and elsewhere combined with a ditzy floral with Tibble’s signature marble textures. A large hand painted rose is featured as a motif throughout the range acting as a soft contrast to the military inspiration, as does a luxurious fabric range of silk, silk satins and lace trims.
Colours are deeper and richer than in past seasons and silhouettes are easy and wearable with relaxed, gently tailored separates and dresses that nod to the 1920s with silk linings and covered button details.
Signature pieces include Neue’s classic silk shirt, shirt-dress, and woven t-shirt, each with a modern update for the season ahead. Daywear features jersey pieces for the very first time, with jersey t-shirts and sweatshirts given luxe silk trims.
The brand takes a conscious approach to design, with the collection entirely designed and manufactured in the UK.
