Witness the experts at work at new Scottish knit festival this Autumn

Knitwear buyers take note – there’s a new date for your diary this year with the launch of the Inverness Loch Ness Knitting Festival, an exciting and innovative four-day festival for the international crafting community to be held in the heart of the Highlands.

Among the many specialist exhibitors that will be involved at the event taking place from 29 September to 2 October, is Scottish knitwear design house and manufacturer, Eribe, who will be hosting two workshops to showcase its skills and abilities in the knitwear field. The design house will host ‘Colour work’ on day-two and a ‘Master-class in finishing skills’ on the concluding day of the festival.

As specialists, the brand hopes to give potential stockists a better insight into the quality craftsmanship that goes into making a garment. In an industry where mass produced garments are the norm, to see a fashion garment being sold as ‘hand knitted’ is rare. The company’s unique textiles have kept the range competitive for 30 years and counting, with its distinct difference to any other in the Scottish borders, which has led to the globalisation of the brand and work with world-class fashion houses such as Paul Smith and Mulberry.
