London’s Retail Business Technology Expo will launch a new eCommerce Quarter for its 2016 edition next spring.
As Europe’s leading retail solutions event, the RBTE’s new eCommerce Quarter will be a ‘show within a show’ featuring 50 plus stands devoted exclusively to eCommerce vendors.
RBTE event director Matt Bradley said: “RBTE already covers all areas of retail, but the impact of eCommerce on retail continues to grow, and every touch-point is still evolving. All the components of the multichannel retail ecosystem are changing rapidly to keep pace, as organisational silos dissolve and virtual and physical retail continue to merge.“
The eCommerce Quarter will also host an eCommerce Conference Theatre jam packed with retail experts presenting practical ‘how to’ sessions, case studies, success stories, research and analysis, all selected by RBTE eCommerce Steering Committee. RBTE’s eCommerce campaign will be supported by industry guru Chris Jones, an expert in this area and author of The Multichannel Retail Handbook, as well as the launch of Essential eCommerce, a sister online magazine to Essential Retail dedicated to every aspect on online retailing.
Chris Jones, RBTE’s eCommerce guru, added: “It’s impossible today to think about retail without thinking about eCommerce. It’s no longer a topic than can be considered isolation: eCommerce is pervasive and is impacting every member of the retailer’s team. This is why RBTE, with its focus on retail end-to-end, is placing eCommerce at the heart of its 2016 event.”
