Danish womenswear brand Summery Copenhagen is the latest brand to partner with a clothing rental platform to strengthen its sustainability efforts.
The label is collaborating with Fjong, a market leader for fashion and accessories in the Nordic region. Launched in Norway before expanding to Denmark in 2022, its creators have built a solid technical platform that makes renting clothes easy and scalable to multiple markets. The company has recently announced plans to enter new European countries in 2023.
Through the new collaboration, Fjong aims to make clothing rental more accessible and further reduce the environmental impact of overproduction in the fashion industry. “We are proud to partner with Summery Copenhagen and have a greater impact on the fashion industry,” says Denmark country manager Amalie Arnesen. “This partnership brings us closer to our mission of making clothing rental more accessible and sustainable.”
Summery Copenhagen hopes the partnership will help it reduce its CO2 emissions by utilising and sharing overstock clothing.
Currently, over 300 Summery Copenhagen garments are available for rental on its platform spanning various collections, seasons and categories.
