Buyers headed to East London’s Truman Brewery last week for the AW22 edition of merged trade show Scoop x Pure. The event presented 172 contemporary and premium womenswear and accessories collections curated by creative director Karen Radley.
Exhibitors included new premium designers Gee Gee, Lam, Freedom Moses, Blanca Pukara, Mou, Norr Copenhagen, Neon Denim Brand, Esmé Studios and Thinking Mu. Meanwhile, returning favourites included Primrose Park, Humility, Odd Molly, Mercy Delta, Conditions Apply, Christian Lacroix and Stardust.
The show attracted buying teams from indies around the country, including The Place London, The Snooty Fox in Ireland, Velvet and Rose in Petersfield, Willow and Wolf in Marlborough, Collen and Clare in Suffolk, Anne Furbank in Cambridgeshire, Aria in Islington and Biscuit in Edinburgh. Buyers from Fran and Jane in Ireland, The Dressing Room in St Albans, Pamela Schiffer in Primrose Hill, Sunday Best in Lancashire, Leaf in Newcastle, Press of Primrose Hill, Katherine Bird in Battersea and Roxtons in Stockbridge also attended this season’s show.
Commenting on its success, Karen Radley says: “I’m thrilled with how this season’s show has gone. We have had the most wonderful feedback from both buyers and designers who have written orders and reconnected with clients. It was lovely to welcome an exclusive selection of new designers this season, as well as some beautiful new collections from returning labels.”
Becky Furbank of Anne Furbank comments: “It was great to be back at a buzzing Scoop X Pure. A condensed and well curated version of the two, marrying together beautifully with some great, quality brands. I bought the collections I had targeted before the show but also picked up a couple of new brands. Roll on the next one!”
Meanwhile, Caroline Lait, owner of Boutique 3 in Cirencester, says: “It is great to be back at the show after all this time! I have found so many new collections – it’s been a great success.”
Deryane Tadd, owner of The Dressing Room in St Albans, adds: “There is a great buzz and atmosphere at the show. It is really busy, which is nice to see. It is really great to reconnect with people again.”
