UK fashion supplier launches unbranded ‘factory direct’ womenswear range

No Label Required offers 'factory direct' womenswear

A fashion wholesaler is offering UK-based womenswear independents access to high quality unbranded garments for low ‘factory direct’ price points. No Label Required is the brainchild of fashion wholesaler John Budgen and designer Cathy Roberts who have over 40 years’ experience in fashion manufacturing and operate two eco-factories in Tunisia.

The range includes timeless dresses, outerwear, jeans and separates in quality fabrics with an option for retailers to personalise with their own branded labels. Its products are delivered to stores directly from the UK, with no shipping delays or additional cost implications for retailers. Meanwhile, there is no minimum order requirement so indies can test the water without making a hefty financial commitment.

“During the pandemic we spotted a gap in the market for a fashion supplier offering a flexible service that puts the retailer in control of deliveries, quantities and costs,” says John. “We’ve had an extremely positive reaction from indies so far, who especially like the fact that our pieces are unbranded and cannot be searched for elsewhere online. This means they can achieve a better margin than on similar Branded products, which gives the range an advantage.”

Sarah Simonds, owner of Artichoke in Norfolk and an existing customer of NLR, says: “As a boutique, we always have difficulties finding suppliers who can cater for our specific needs. We are delighted that we have found NLR who have so far supplied us with excellent quality shirts and trousers at a reasonable price and fast delivery times. I can now plan my stock requirements without having to order months in advance.”
