The owner of Wilmslow-based lingerie boutique Blushing Susie appeared on This Morning recently to share advice on choosing the right bra.

Victoria Ziiga, a former fashion designer who previously ran her own brand, was approached by ITV producers to appear on the live show alongside hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley. The retail owner says she had less than a week to prepare for the appearance and was only given the usual bra sizes of the models ahead of the demonstration.

“Everything unfolded at lightning speed,” she says. “The brief focused on raising awareness about the importance of wearing the correct size bra and providing shopping tips. I was assigned four models for a demonstration, each providing their current bra size and dress size. As you can imagine, I had to bring an extensive selection of bras to the set!”

While Victoria has appeared in front of the camera before, This Morning was her first live television experience: “I was quite nervous for my first live teaser segment,” she says. “But with everything moving at such a rapid pace, I quickly adapted. There was a lot to juggle: delivering the message, fielding questions, fitting models, adhering to time constraints, and taking direction from the producers through the earpiece.”

The segment was a hit among viewers and also featured on Channel 4’s Googlebox – receiving a positive response from the cast. The owner says the reaction from the store’s local community and customers has also been overwhelmingly positive. “Everyone was incredibly supportive and excited to see me on TV,” she says. “I’ve received numerous comments from viewers suggesting that I should have a regular slot, educating women on the most essential yet often overlooked part of our wardrobes. It’s truly heartening to see such enthusiasm and encouragement from both local supporters and viewers nationwide.

“We’ve received numerous inquiries from all over the country since the segment aired – indicating a significant increase in exposure for our store.”
