Sassy and Boo is opening its eighth bricks-and-mortar store in the picturesque town of Marlborough, Wiltshire. Founder Alison Townshend, who opened the group’s first store in 2005, chose the location because of its inspiring line-up of independents.
Marlborough was recently ranked number two in a ranking of the UK’s best shopping destinations and is home to a range of indies, newly converted art house cinema The Parade and Rick Stein’s restaurant.
“We’re so excited to bring Sassy and Boo to Marlborough,” says Alison. “It really feels like a successful town story amongst the current doom and gloom, and we’re delighted to be part of it.

“We’ve wanted to open here for some time and were so pleased when the space on the high street became available. It’s a wonderfully unique town with lots of fabulous independent retailers like us. We believe we’ll compliment the other shops here to offer a truly great shopping and leisure experience in this beautiful town. We’re really looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors to our new store soon.”
The new Sassy and Boo joins the group’s seven other South England stores in Cirencester, Bath, Woodstock and the Cotswolds. It will stock its own label Luella alongside a curated line-up of guest brands from across the UK and Europe.
