Have you ever imagined seeing your boutique lighting up TV screens across the country? Well, a new initiative is turning that daydream into a very real opportunity…
Small Business, Big Break is a new competition offering three UK-based small businesses a professionally produced TV advert on Channel 4 — plus tailored marketing support — all for free. The total prize package is worth a business-boosting £300,000.
Launched in collaboration with Channel 4, digital marketing platform Constant Contact and small business network Enterprise Nation, the initiative is designed to spotlight ambitious UK independents ready to scale up and shine on a national stage.
“Small Business, Big Break will deliver a life-changing boost to some of the UK’s most exciting businesses,” says Erika Robinson, UK General Manager of Constant Contact. “We provide the marketing tools and support that small businesses need to excel and grow.”

Running until 15 May, the competition invites small business owners to submit a short application explaining why they deserve to be featured. Finalists will be selected to pitch their business, with three winners receiving:
A bespoke TV advert produced by a top creative agency
Expert strategic support to define and reach their ideal audience
A share of £300,000 in Channel 4 advertising airtime
In addition, 10 finalists will also receive:
A year’s Premium subscription to Constant Contact’s full digital marketing suite
Mentorship from industry leaders
A £2,000 marketing grant
Access to a marketing consultant worth £500
Businesses opting out of the TV advert prize will still receive the full support package, including the grant and mentorship.
Emma Jones, CBE, founder of Enterprise Nation, says: “Finding new customers is fundamental for any business that wants to succeed and grow. We’re delighted to team up with Constant Contact and Channel 4 to give winning businesses a unique opportunity to do exactly that.”
Nick Archer of Channel 4 Sales adds: “Television advertising provides SMEs with unparalleled scale and conversion potential. It is a highly trusted platform delivering memorable brand experiences, in turn driving significant customer growth.”
To be eligible, businesses must be UK-based, trading for at least three months, employ between 0–50 people, and hold either a Companies House number or UTR.
