Buyers can now register to take part in Autumn Fair’s new meetings programme, Connect @ Autumn Fair.
Organiser Hyve says the programme will make the trade show buying process faster and more straightforward for retailers.
From August, registered buyers will be given access to detailed information on all exhibitors as well as the ability to search and filter suppliers by criteria that’s most important to their business. This includes searching by product type, sustainability accreditation, minimum order value and carriage paid. So, for example, a buyer could search for specific exhibitors offering LGBTQ+ cards that are FCS certified with a minimum order value of £50 or less.
All Connect meetings take place on the show floor meaning buyers can view, touch, and ask questions about products in person. By prioritising important meetings and speeding up product sourcing, buyers have more time to shop the show for unexpected new brands, trends and inspiration.
The new programme is free for buyers and there is no minimum meeting requirement. There are hundreds of brands already signed up for the programme including Lesser and Pavey, Sass and Belle, Chalk UK, Sea Gems, Big Metal, Scream Pretty, My Doris, Jayley and Lighthouse Clothing.
Portfolio director Nicola Meadows expects over 6,000 meetings to take place at the show: “Buyer’s time is precious and justifying time away from the retail space has never been harder. Connect @ Autumn Fair changes all this. Visiting a trade show should not be about chance; buyers can now source and plan their time at the show in advance, and know they are meeting suppliers that will meet their needs.
“Exhibitors will, for the first time ever, be able to discover and connect with buyers based on over 100 datapoints. Through this revolutionary meetings programme, which is powered by cutting-edge but easy-to-use technology, we connect the right people at the right time. With Connect, we remove all the potential anxiety and element of the unknown, allowing buyers and exhibitors to be prepared and informed.”
The next edition of Autumn Fair takes place from 3-6 September at NEC Birmingham.
